Forgiveness doesn't work being alone in itself. Forgiveness is more dimensional than that. People's mind is to shallow to understand forgiveness. This is why your heart must work with the mind to begin to understand the depths of forgiveness. Even then you are working in the dark and will make mistakes trying to get the benefits from it. You need the Light of the Holy Spirit to provide this wisdom, this understanding and the motivation to forgive. What will make forgiveness work is repentance. The question is, do I need repentance to forgive others? Doesn't the idiot that messed me up need to repent before I forgive them?
Before starting to forgive someone, you need to want to forgive them. Your mind alone will not let you to forgive when they messed your life up. This is why your mind needs to work with your heart and pray to Yahuah Elohiym in Heaven, requesting the Holy Spirit to take the lead. Repentance is getting right with Yahuah Elohiym. Repentance is turning away from evil, sin and spiritual blindness. Once this is accomplished, you are ready to forgive. Without repentance, something like anger will prevent your heart or your mind from not being in the Holy Spirit. In other words, you are defeated before you begin without repentance.
Once you are prepared to forgive, you may understand the situation in why that person did the evil that they did. Most likely they never repentedor will ask for forgiveness. They will probably not set their mind, their heart and soul on Yahuah Elohiym but they need the choice of salvation by seeing what they don't understand. Their God was themselves when they did this evil, bringing offerings to their lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and their own pride. In their dark world, they abuse others to gain something not theirs to fulfill their Evil God's desire.
Or maybe someone abandoned you. You never knew why they just cast you away. Why did they hand you over to the people that were so cruel. How do you understand that? You cannot forgive them in person because they are gone forever.
Your repentance is the largest thing in forgiveness. You are prepared, repaired and paired up with the Holy Spirit. It's about your soul, then theirs. If you can get passed that horrible wrong that wrecked your life, it's behind you forever. Quote, "Forgiveness is a promise not to bring up the sin again and use it against the other person". In other words, you are not going to weaponize their sin against them. Forgiveness is a lifetime pardon. By being able to pardon the person that messed you up, you can understand how Yahuah Elohiym can pardon you.
You don't need to weaponize other people's behavior against themselves. You have Spiritual Armor for your protection and for an offense spiritually. The more we deal with past hurt, the less time we have to deal with the real force behind why people abuse others. They have learned abusive relationships from their father Satan. Let's check out Spiritual Armor and then take another look at Forgiveness.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in Yahuah, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of Elohiym, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against Principalities, against Powers, against the Rulers of the Darkness of this world, against Spiritual Wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole Armor of Elohiym, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with Truth, and having on the Breastplate of Righteousness; And your feet shod with the Preparation of the Gospel of Peace; Above all, taking the Shield of Faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the Helmet of Salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of Elohiym: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. Ephesians 6:10-18
First we are called to be strong. Forgiving someone is not an easy thing to do. It takes a strong person to do so. Forgiving someone in weakness is not forgiving them. It is a mockery of it. Most likely forgiveness in weakness is living in fear of the abusive relationship.
Second point is being in the power of Yahuah Elohiym's might. This is putting on the Spiritual Armor of Elohiym. It's weakness putting on strength.
The third point is that this Armor works against Satanic Phantoms. Having the Holy Spirit communicating with us is like having a spiritual Internet connection with our Soul. Satan has no Truth in him. Everything is deceptive and leads to the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and being prideful of power collected by deception. By us putting on Elohiym's Spiritual Armor, we receive it in Truth, in the correct way and in eternal life. With Satan, his power handed to you dooms you to death. Power is no power at all if it has an expiration date on it.
Truth in forgiveness makes it real. It is not making excuses for the wicked person that did you wrong. Hiding from the ugly of the situation prevents the act of forgiveness from working. Things are hidden only to fester out later. Girding the loins is hiking up the tunic and fixing it so your legs are free to move. A woman in a maxi dress cannot fight. But you take this same woman in Army fatigues, she is getting prepared for combat.
Today the Breastplate is called Interceptor Body Armor. Righteousness intercepts the ungodly, the indecency, the wicked sinful attacks on your soul. If you are in spiritual interceptor body armor, wicked people's efforts to mess you up will fail.
When Ephesians was written, soldiers sandals had something like cleats on them. This way they had traction on the battlefield. Today's Combat Boots provide a combination of grip, ankle stability, and foot protection suitable for a rugged environment. Spiritually Salvation through Yahusha Hamashia provides spiritual grip, stability, and protection in a spiritual hostile environment.
The Shield of faith today is the Combat Shield. Spiritually you use Faith to control a crowd and engage in spiritual tactical situations. Faith is your first line of defense. Faith deflects spiritual projectiles aimed at the carrier. When engaging in forgiveness, expect getting hit from wicked people's comments aimed to take you out. It is only your faith that you have in your hands that will protect you.
The Advanced Combat Helmet provides the Soldier improved ballistic protection, stability and comfort without degrading vision or hearing. It can stop a bullet. Salvation works the same way spiritually. Salvation stops spiritual attacks without degrading your eyesight and hearing Yahuah Elohiym. When religion blocks your vision or prevents you from the Holy Spirit, get out. Heading into repentance being handicapped will prevent you from being prepared for the spiritual battle of forgiveness.
Today's Army no longer fights with Swords. Today the Primary Weapon is a rifle. It is about output and accuracy. The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of Elohiym and is an offensive weapon. This too is about output and accuracy. If the output of the World of Elohiym is slow, wickedness dominates by numbers alone. If the accuracy of the Word of Elohiym is off, targets are free to assault you. When repenting and forgiving, stay in the Word of Elohiym.
Communication Specialist, supervises and assists administration of Army public affairs programs by researching, preparing, and distributing news releases, articles, web-based material, and photographs on Army personnel and activities. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints functions spiritually the same. There are times when the person we need to forgive is in the church members. Pastors themselves have attacked people fiscally and spiritually. We need to be a communication prayer specialist. We need to report to Yahuah Elohiym.
