Have you ever kept a friendship hidden from your parents as a child that you didn't want them to know about? If you ever experienced a church that didn't promote a relationship with the Holy Spirit, it's somewhat like the same thing. The church as the parent and the Holy Spirit as the hidden friend. Being caught with the Holy Spirit, you will be rebuked by people in the false church. It can be like wolves with the appearance of a nice little old lady that will attack. It's then your heart jumps when being caught with the Holy Spirit. It's then you feel sick inside because it felt like the Holy Spirit walked away. You moan to yourself like a love sick teenage boy who wonders if the girl still likes him.
Matthew 12 : 30-32
"He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters. Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come". These are the Words of Yahusha Hamashia.
Personally I am not Catholic, however The Catholic Church teaches six things that are like a repellent to the Holy Spirit. Or maybe it spiritually drugs the believer?
Despair is the complete loss or absence of hope. When believers feel abused, neglected or abandoned by the religious community, it promotes anger inside the new believer. They will walk away and be worse than before, be submissive to the religion or they will take refuge with the Holy Spirit. It's the Holy Spirit that gives comfort. If the young believer is submissive to religious authority and is caught with the Holy Spirit, conflict within his mind will cause him to panic. Being submissive to false ministries causes despair. Yahusha said not to call anyone Father, priest or teacher. There is no despair in going an extra mile when asked to do something by a neighbor, or spiritual brother or sister or an enemy. But they should ask you without having authority over your heart.
Presumption is a loaded word. It can mean disobeying Elohiym's commands or violating the trust of others. Transgression or lawlessness also can be used as alternative words. Not only we need to confront our own spiritual violations, there is people who are spiritual guides and purposely stunt the spiritual growth of others to keep them ignorant and submissive to themselves. We really need to listen to the Holy Spirit and grow in the light of Yahuah Elohiym. But first we need to ask for a relationship and to be saved by the blood of Yahusha Hamashia called Jesus Christ.
Envy is a spiritually deadly weapon. Pilate knew that the Jews envied Yahusha Hamashia and that was why Yahusha was before him about to be killed. Sometimes new believers are the victims of envy because of the rapid spiritual growth. Being naive can make the new believer second guess when a church leader puts them down. Doubt and frustration can make it feel like the Holy Spirit is far away. But feeling and what is true can be two different things.
Obstinacy can be something self grown or placed upon you. In other words stubbornness. When a spiritual leader is obstinate, snatching away the thoughts given to you by the Holy Spirit, you will not grow in Yahuah's Word.
Impenitence is not feeling remorse. In other words, hard hearted. A cynical or pessimistic spiritual leader can blind you of the Holy Spirit in your life. Repeated emotional trauma can deaden your spiritual connection to the point of not hearing when the Holy Spirit speaks. Emotional trauma is when a spiritual Jezebel gets the pastor to cut you down unexpectedly during the church sermon. The fault of what you did was to make a point of what the Holy Spirit told you. There is a big difference between emotional feelings and the Holy Spirit's voice. Religion is run by emotion. A relationship with Elohiym runs on Grace and Faith.
Deliberate resistance to the known truth is almost the unpardonable sin. The Truth is written in a pure translation of the Bible. The Older KJV has added pronouns. However this doesn't change, add or delete the Word of Elohiym. There are some versions where verses have been changed or deleted. But the point is, the Holy Spirit will guide you in life if you are not resistant to Her voice. In other words, resistance to the Holy Spirit are in many levels. On the corporate level and on a personal level. Personal resistance is where your heart loves wickedness that plays on your emotions.
The Holy Spirit is feminine. She is a dimension from the side of Elohiym the Father in Heaven. Yahusha, also known as Yahuah of Host before becoming flesh by the Virgin Mary, is a dimension of the Father in bodily form. When trying to speak to the Holy Spirit, there are times you will be redirected to the Father in Heaven. The Holy Spirit and the Father are one. Adam and Eve was made in the image of Elohiym in Heaven. Eve was taken from the side of Adam and was made not using the Y chromosome. It's the Y Chromosome that Satan wanted to corrupt and was successful through Eve. This is why Yahuah of Hosts was made flesh through Mary. He was a second Adam giving an opportunity to be born again. It was the Assemble of Believers that was taken from Yahusha's side when He was stabbed by a Roman spear. It's interesting that it was a woman that was the first believer in the Assembly of Believers. Her name is Mary Magdalene. It happened in a garden, not a church.
You need to know the seven spirits of the Holy Spirit. They are found in Isaiah 11:2.
The Spirit of Yahuah will rest on Him,
The spirit of Wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of Yahuah.
These names consist of one Deity noun, five feminine nouns and one coed noun. In other words, the Holy Spirit is a feminine Deity submissive to the Father in Heaven.
Satan named Heylel BenSahar before his rebellion against Yahuah Elohiym corrupted his wisdom. This is to say Satan has a spirit and a bodily form. The question is, is the Spirit of Antichrist the corrupted spirit of Satan? I believe so. Antichrist will be the false Messiah, King of the Jews, but with the spirit of Satan's wisdom upon him.
For you and me this is saying there is a false spirit pretending to be the Holy Spirit out there. You will know the difference because of the spiritual gifts and spiritual fruit they bring. The Holy Spirit will lead you to Yahuah in Heaven. The Antichrist Spirit will lead you to Satan. Romans 12 says clearly.
For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another, but having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: whether prophecy, in agreement with the faith; or service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with generosity; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be without hypocrisy—by abhorring what is evil, clinging to what is good, being devoted to one another in brotherly love, giving preference to one another in honor, not lagging behind in diligence, being fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, persevering in affliction, being devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, pursuing hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless, and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep, by being of the same mind toward one another, not being haughty in mind, but associating with the humble. Do not be wise in your own mind. Never paying back evil for evil to anyone, respecting what is good in the sight of all men, if possible, so far as it depends on you, being at peace with all men, never taking your own revenge, beloved—instead leave room for the wrath of God. For it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. “But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.”. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
In other words, living a life with the Holy Spirit is totally different than what we are familiar with. There are times when we just don't understand what is before us. As the gifts are different, we are different. We cannot master every gift. We take the gift handed to us, treasure it in our heart, and act accordingly on how the Holy Spirit suggests to us. For an example prophecy. Prophecy needs to be in according to the Faith in Yahusha Hamashia. He is the Prophet of Prophets. Prophecy in service is saying actions. A person with the gift of prophecy, their actions need to be like Yahusha Hamashia to the point of washing feet.
Some key points in my mind that need repeating are, let love be without hypocrisy, cling to what is good, be passionate in the Spirit, do not be wise in your own mind, and leave room for the wrath of Yahuah Elohiym.
Meanwhile we are to feed the enemy if they are hungry, provide clean water if they are thirsty. This isn't saying that we need to provide a free extravagant life for them while our neighbors are living in poverty and debt. This chapter says do not be overcome by evil. It is evil not to help, but it is more evil to rob your neighbors of their job, house, and their children's inheritance to give to the stranger.
Lastly about the chapter is that we are to overcome evil with good. This is in contrast of the knowledge of good and evil. In other words it didn't say overcone evil with the knowledge of good and evil. Good must also overcome the knowledge of good and evil. This is like a civil war within knowledge itself. Good must put in the full armor of Elohiym and overcome good and evil's knowledge that has not separated.
The Holy Spirit is like a mother that says, where is your cost, don't eat junk food, eat healthy. The Holy Spirit will say put on the full armor of Elohiym, drink the living water and the bread of Life. Drink the wine for the forgiveness of sins. Sort of like a mother saying, drink this cough medicine to make you well.
The Holy Spirit at times, in my eyes, just likes to watch believers in Yahusha Hamashia. We go about our life like children making sandcastles. But all children are not going to be good. Some are bullies and yet we must not become the bully to overcome the bully. As adults our sandcastles of life do get destroyed. Mostly because we built to close to the lake. But if there was a rock near the water, our sandcastle of life would remain until the sun dried up the water mixed in the sand or the rain washed the sand away. Life is the same thing, it's just that the lifespan of a sandcastle is hours and a human life is no more than 120 years.
It's interesting how children repeat what the parents say. If you are aware of the Holy Spirit, you as a child of Elohiym will start repeating what they say to you. Your actions will repeat the actions of the Holy Spirit. You will grow to long for time spent in study of Elohiym's Word and long to hear Elohiym's Voice.
Lastly we as believers need to be submissive to the Holy Spirit. She needs to have access to our hearts 24/7. She will not play on our emotions for entertainment. She will prepare us for travel into Her Heavenly House that is the Heavenly Father's House. There we will have a place to be comfortable with. Many of us believers would be satisfied with a cabin in Gloryland. But these are not cabins for the Poor in Spirit. This is because the Poor in Spirit have been blessed.
"Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in Elohiym, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way where I am going.”
Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going. How do we know the way?”
Yahusha said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Me."
John 14:1-6
