Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NKJV
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV
What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have of Elohiym, and you are not your own? For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify Elohiym in your body, and in your spirit, which are Elohiym's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV restoration.
Did you notice that the NIV deleted the fact that we are to honor Elohiym with our spirit in verse 20? To honor with only the body is to make faith carnal. To make faith carnal is to deny salvation. Resurrection begins in the heart that is submissive to the Holy Spirit..
For all that is in the world, the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life, is not from the Father but is from the world. 1 John 2:16
Without glorifying Elohiym in the spirit is not of our Father in Heaven, it's of the world.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of Elohiym, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto Elohiym, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of Elohiym. Romans 12:1-2
Having faith in religion and not in the Holy Spirit is dead. Our spirit is called to provide our bodies as a living sacrifice. Our bodies is also the Temple of the Holy Spirit. This is also the pattern of Yahusha Hamashia. He was the Lamb of Yahuah Elohiym that took away the sins of those who believe in Him. He also spoke of His body as a Temple. In three days He rebuilt His body as He foretold to the priests.
On Passover a lamb was provided to cover the sins of the Israelites. That was all Tribes, not just Jews. The blood of the Lamb was sprinkled on the Ark of the Covenant. This happened in 30 CE when the blood of Yahusha Hamashia ran down the cracks of the rock that held up the cross. In a cave below the cross, was the Ark of the Covenant. When that happened, the Old Covenant was fulfilled. From there was the New Covenant, the beginning of our bodies being a living Temple.
Today our bodies should to be brought to the Living Ark of the Covenant. This would be Yahusha Hamashia who is in Heaven making Atonement for us. That is the fulfillment of Yom Kippur.
A Living Sacrifice should be based on the five sacrifices of the Old Covenant. They are the burnt offering, the grain offering, the peace offering, the sin offering and the trespass offering.
The burnt offering symbolizes total commitment or surrender to Elohiym. We are to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and spiritual fire.
The grain offering symbolizes thanksgiving to Yahuah Elohiym. Spiritually we are barley or wheat. Oil was poured upon it along with frankincense. The olive oil represents the Holy Spirit. The frankincense represents holiness and righteousness.
A peace offering was to assure communion with Elohiym. It was a gift or service for the purpose of procuring peace or reconciliation. Priests would take the goat's blood and throw it against the altar. Today a peace offering still is to assure communication with Elohiym without the bloodshed. It's an offering that is not required of you.
I quote, "The sin offering purified the sanctuary; it removed the defilement of sin that occurred when the people broke the covenant." Today no bloodshed is needed. Our sanctuary is our body. It is to be purified, removing things that are foul, dirty, or unclean.
The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! Matthew 6:22-23
Every building needs a light. Our body a living temple needs a light. It's our spiritual eye that is the light of our living temple. All lamps are not made the same. A battery operated light in time will loose its power in time. A light with a burnt out bulb will not shine. An oil lamp needs oil to shine. An oil lamp needs a flame to light it. The pattern is that lights need an outside source of energy and a wick or something to glow.
That source of energy is the Holy Spirit. If we loose the Holy Spirit, and focus on things of the world, our light in the living temple will not shine. It is then when Evil enters the living temple . The living temple then has a lack of enlightenment, knowledge, discernment, insight, and understanding.
Without enlightenment we loose the Path to Elohiym. Without spiritual knowledge we forget righteousness. Without discernment we lack the decision-making process. Without insight we lack spiritual nourishment. Without spiritual understanding we lack the ability to comprehend the truths and mysteries concerning the Gospel of Yahusha Hamashia.
Our spirit lives inside the living Temple of it's good, bad or ugly. If the Holy Spirit doesn't find it suitable for habitation, our spirit is most likely will be oppressed or be the oppressor. This is called spiritual oppression. It could come in five different ways, such as violence, exploitation, marginalization, powerlessness, and spiritual imperialism.
Quote, "Religious violence occurs when someone uses a person's spiritual beliefs to manipulate, dominate or control the person."
Spiritual exploitation is spiritual abuse. It is, I quote, "coercion, control, or exploitation by another person in a spiritual context."
Spiritual marginalization is viewing people in the Assembly of Believers as insignificant or on the outside of the core of human chosen Believers.
Spiritual powerlessness is when Religion regularly invalidates or treats others as incompetent. To invalidate a believer in Yahusha Hamashia is to declare Satan as your father.
Spiritual Imperialism is when others are forced to convert to another practice of Religion. For example the Celtic Church was influenced by Joseph of Arimathea in Glastonbury Wales, or the Apostle Paul in London England. They are erased from history and the Biblical Holy Days are replaced with pagan holidays and graven images in the church buildings. Today spiritual Imperialism takes the form of rich and powerful people in the church dictating the function of the church events. For example sitting up a yard sale or carnival on church property or celebrating Halloween on church property. Both are an abomination.
The Human Warehouse
Our bodies is like a warehouse when it comes to order or the lack of it. Lift trucks become outdated as the times change making it hard to do the job. Weak pallets are used in an effort to save on cost. Production roles on as the lack of experience creates dangerous stacked up products about to tip over. An overload of orders are sent out only to frustrate burnt out employees that still happen to function.
Our minds warehouse memories. Past uncaring actions are stacked up and are about to collapse in on our spirit. Nobody will teach you management skills of the mind. They will just overload you, or override your beliefs. Beliefs are of the Heart.
The question is, so we clean up our mind so the Holy Spirit enters our living temple or will the Holy Spirit help us in cleaning up our minds and heart? The answer is, the Holy Spirit cannot be manipulated. However there's nothing that attracts the Holy Spirit of a person with a wicked mind and heart. When Yahusha Hamashia enters our hearts, His anointing of the Holy Spirit wells up within us.
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living Elohiym. Hebrews 3:12
The reasons that hearts become evil is because they are unguarded.
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23
The results is chaos and frustration in your life with an unguarded heart.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Elohiym’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2
In other words, the Spiritual Well in our Hearts transforms our minds. No longer are there stacks of regrets ready to crash in on us. Those regrets are shipped out and never to be returned.
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26
